Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when approved staff and contractors use Wirewise for work.

These terms

These terms govern your use of the Wirewise mobile app, operated by Alt Development Labs, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). By signing in you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Wirewise is a work tool provided to you in connection with your employment, contract, or approved business relationship with us. It is not a consumer service, and using it is not a substitute for any other agreement you have with us.

What the app is for

Wirewise is used to schedule and track communications and network cabling work: creating jobs, assigning them to installers, recording progress and completion, working through checklists, and leaving notes and photos on a job.

Use it only for work you are authorized to perform. Do not use it for personal record-keeping or for anything unrelated to your work.

Accounts and approval

Creating an account does not grant access. New accounts stay pending until an administrator approves them, and an administrator can suspend or remove an account at any time — including while work is assigned to it.

  • Give accurate account details, and keep them current.
  • One account per person. Do not share your account or sign in as anyone else.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials and your device secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell an administrator promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

Customer and site information

The app contains information about customers, subdivisions, and job sites — including addresses and contact phone numbers. Treat all of it as confidential business information.

  • Access it only when you need it to do your work.
  • Do not copy, export, publish, or send it to anyone outside the company.
  • Do not photograph or record anything at a site beyond what documenting the work requires.
  • Return or delete any copies when your engagement ends.

What you submit

You are responsible for the notes, comments, and photos you add. Keep them accurate, professional, and relevant to the job.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not include personal information about yourself or anyone else beyond what the job actually requires.

Content you submit becomes part of our business records. We may use, store, and reproduce it for operating the business — including quality review, dispute resolution, and legal or regulatory obligations.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to bypass approval, roles, or any other access control.
  • Do not access, alter, or delete records you are not authorized to — including other people's jobs and comments.
  • Do not interfere with the app or the systems behind it, or attempt to extract data in bulk.
  • Do not use the app to harass anyone or to do anything unlawful.

Your device and connection

You need a compatible device and an internet connection, both at your own cost. The app sends push notifications about work assigned to you; you can turn these off in your device settings, but you may then miss time-sensitive assignments.

Job data is stored on servers, not only on your device. Work you record while offline may not be saved until the device reconnects.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, including for maintenance. Features may be added or removed. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Ending access

You may stop using the app at any time and can delete your account from the profile screen. An administrator may suspend or remove your access at any time, and access normally ends when your employment or contract ends.

Work records you created stay in the system after your access ends — they are our business records. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your personal information.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, all warranties are disclaimed, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The app supports your work; it does not replace your professional judgment. Always follow the applicable codes and standards, permit requirements, and site safety rules, whatever the app shows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or work interruption, arising from your use of the app.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects your rights under employment or workplace-safety legislation.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by your administrator, and the date below will change. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute.
